Congratulations to Glazedale

Glazedale have been Highly Commended in the People’s Choice Award as part of the 2016 Family Business Awards. They received their award at the awards dinner at the University of Birmingham on 17th November. They were also shortlisted for the Manufacturing Excellence Award, a reflection of the quality of their double glazed doors, windows and conservatories, made at their factory in Nottinghamshire. Able Training have moved to new premises in Grantham giving them dedicated training facilities for their own public courses as well as training and meeting space for hire to local businesses and organisations. Glazedale on DIY SOS

Last year, double glazing manufacturers and installers, Glazedale, pitched in to help out on the BBC’s DIY SOS programme, giving their support to Nick Knowles and his team to adapt and improve the home of a Derby family whose son has spastic quadriplegia, a severe form of cerebral palsy. We’ve been watching the series closely ever since, waiting for this project to be featured and at last it is! You should be able to get a glimpse of the Glazedale crew on Thursday 29th September as they get stuck in. Give them, and everyone else who joined forces, a big cheer.

Coalesco and Glazedale shortlisted

Great news for two of my retained clients as they see themselves shortlisted for some prestigious awards. Glazedale, double glazing specialists based in Langley Mill, have been shortlisted for the Manufacturing Excellence Award in the Midlands Family Business Awards in recognition of their commitment to quality at their Nottinghamshire factory where they make conservatories, orangeries, doors and windows before installing throughout the local area. Grant for Enterprise

Grants of between £1000 and £2500 are available for B2B businesses in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Greater Lincolnshire. The grant is for a maximum of 25% of eligible costs which means that to qualify you must have a minimum project spend of £4000. The grant can be used across up to five suppliers and for purchasing equipment and consultancy services. You need to have the grant approved before your project begins and to pay for the full cost before claiming the grant back. Double Image at Treetops Hospice

Double Image Photography have provided a free photo shoot for Treetops Hospice Care, as a thank you after the charity gave bereavement counselling to the business owner’s step-children. Philippa Dytham-Double, owner at Double Image Photography, has two step-children who were bereaved in 2011 and received counselling at Treetops. When they reached their teenage years, the issues resurfaced again so, again Treetops’ support has been welcomed.
